Progressive Film Series

This monthly series focuses on films which address social, racial, economic, and environmental justice. Following the film we will host a panel discussion and provide opportunities for audience members to get involved.

**NOTE: Starting THIS month (OCTOBER), the iPA Progressive Film Series has been moved to the SECOND SUNDAY of each month and will be shown at 3 p.m. Doors open at 2:30 so you have time to mingle, order some popcorn and a soda, and get settled.

Upcoming dates

October 14 – Do Not Resist, a powerful documentary about the militarization of the police.

November 11 – Seed; The Untold Story

December 9 – TBA … surely something related to consumerism and/or income inequality in honor of the season

Please plan to stay afterward for a discussion about the film.

Doors open at 2:30 so you have time to mingle, order some popcorn and a soda, and get settled. The movie will begin at 3 p.m.

Cost: As with all iPA events, admission is sliding scale – $2.70 – $27, with no one turned away for lack of funds.
We will be selling POPCORN, AND SODA. $1 sodas, $3 theater-style popcorn – We cook it in coconut oil and you add the salt and melted butter!

Ticket proceeds pay for the cost of purchasing film rights, supplies, and for the venue.

Cost: As with all iPA events, admission is sliding scale: $0-27 with no one turned away for lack of funds. Funds will be used first to support the following month’s film with the remainder to be shared equally between local non-profit organizations. Food and snacks are available for purchase.
